About me, Jodie Pearce.

I have witnessed firsthand the magic of horses and how they can be our best supports and our most knowledgeable teachers. I would love our community to join me on a journey of self-discovery and growth through the amazing connection between humans and horses.

I have always had a lifelong love of horses and a passion to help people. So, when I found the Equine Psychotherapy Institute (EPI) and the EAL model developed by Meg Kirby, I realised I would be able to turn this passion into a career. As a fully certified Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner I have completed my training with the EPI and feel extremely excited to offer this service to our community.

My experience as an Education Support Officer within primary schools and specialist schools has provided me with the foundational skills to offer a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space for my clients. I have a strong focus on working with children and young people with trauma, mental health challenges, autism and other special needs and disabilities. My hope is to ensure my clients have a positive and enjoyable experience in a peaceful environment.

Horses have always had a special place in my heart. I have owned them my whole life and have always felt a connection when I am in their presence. In my experience, being around these social mammals has led me to feel both grounded and at peace. This comes from a horse’s incredible ability to sense and feel their natural environment. They teach us to be present, to breathe, and to live in the moment.
